First of all, I suffer from congenital nystagmus. Over the years, I visited several doctors and optometrists, and most of them said there wasn’t much that could be done. I underwent laser surgery to remove my glasses using the PRK method the surgery was also adapted for nystagmus, not a regular laser procedure, and not every place is willing or able to perform it. To my surprise, the recovery process was much easier than I had been told I did not suffer from severe pain, I did not have to sit in a dark room for days like others had described, and everything went relatively smoothly. And now for the results four weeks after the surgery, I see as well as I did with glasses, and even in my right eye my vision is better than it was with glasses and it is still expected to improve!
